Human Trafficking Awareness Symposium - Baton Rouge

Date: Wednesday, September 20, 2017 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Duration: 3 Hours

On September 20, 2017 from 9am-noon, The Governor’s Office of Programs and Planning in partnership with Baton Rouge Community College and a host of cross-sector partners will host a Statewide Human Trafficking Awareness Symposium.  The Symposium will consist of expert testimony from Adult survivors, Louisiana State Police, NGO leaders, etc.   We will also have a panel discussion to gain a better understanding from providers statewide and survivors on the services that currently exist for victims, successes and challenges for providers, the greatest gap in services, biggest need for survivors, prevention strategies, etc.

Please consider attending all or part of the event to learn more about the issue of trafficking in our state and collaborative efforts to solve the  problem.   Feel free to pass along to your staff and/or networks.  We must ensure that administrators, professionals, and providers are educated on assessment, treatment, and services available for trafficking victims.

Registration is FREE.  Seating is LIMITED.  Thanks in advance for your support.
