This workshop will provide social workers the opportunity to express feelings, relate personal and professional experiences and learn by listening to the experiences of others, in a safe atmosphere, regarding how race and/or racism has impacted their work with clients and within systems. The conversation will be stimulated by an article and/or questions. The workshop is based on a facilitated model of communication that allows each attendee to speak uninterrupted for a period of time, which creates an atmosphere of safety and learning.
