Supporting Sustained Permanency

June 7 – Part I – 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET
June 28 – Part II – 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET

CWLA is pleased to co-host with Casey Family Programs a two-part webinar on  sustained permanency for children who have been in foster care. While the number of children in foster care has decreased by nearly 25 percent since 2002, the percentage of children who have re-entered care has remained stable. In 2015, nearly 1 in 5 children in out-of-home care — nearly 80,000 children — had been in care before, some more than once. Families that are stable and nurturing can bolster youth resilience and lessen negative long-term effects of adverse childhood experiences—but these protective factors are not available when parents are not supported to provide consistent and continuous nurturing care for their children.

This webinar will share constituents' perspectives and jurisdictional approaches on sustaining permanency, information on re-entry rates, funding opportunities, and practical recommendations to support sustained permanency.

Reserve your webinar seat at Registration Part I and Registration Part II.
