Dr. Irwin has done extensive work in the area of foster care and the over-utilization of psychotropic medications. He recently completed a study for the Annie Casey Foundation focusing on decreasing the use of psychotropic medications in foster care children in New York. He will facilitate an in-depth discussion into the current trends in medication use and abuse.
