We are excited to update everyone about the work being accomplished in the communities we all serve. Please join us in discussing how we can engage agency partners and community members and increase accessibility and utilization of services and supports in a collective effort to build safe, stable, and strong families and communities. As we learn from one another and work together, we can bridge gaps and break down barriers to services and supports in our area, reduce risks of maltreatment, and improve outcomes for children.

In the meantime, please let us know if you have any specific needs we can help you with, and check out the section below. As partners in this work, we need your help with completing surveys and getting your information into the MCC Connection Portal so we can have more effective outcomes. Also, don’t miss out on new tools and available trainings!

Fostering School Success: How Caregivers and Social Workers Can Support the Educational Needs of Children
Sep 7 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Among child welfare service and program goals is the achievement of children and youth’s educational progress to match their potential and needs. Educational success of children and youth in the child welfare system depends, in part, on the collective efforts and collaboration of caregivers (foster, adoptive, and kinship), social workers, and agency management to address challenges and strategies for success.

CWLA will be hosting Dr. Gwen Bass for a webinar based on the four-part skill building training Fostering School Success: How Caregivers and Social Workers Can Support the Educational Needs of Children that will share how to improve school experiences and long-term outcomes for children who have experienced trauma CLICK HERE
