A Responsive Framework of Care for Children & Youth with Emotional and Behavioral Health Challenges

This five-part training series is focused on serving children and youth with emotional and behavioral health challenges. Participants will delve into the key aspects of a responsive framework to effectively care for this population of children and youth. The series will cover:

 

  • the initial steps to fully understand the population of children and youth and their needs which will include cluster analysis and clinical constellations;
  • examining this information in partnership with youth, parents, and other key stakeholders to develop interventions/programs based on the findings;
  • funding and infrastructure;
  • and examining out-of-home treatment and developing what is needed.

 

The sessions include:

  • Session I– Assessment Tools & Analysis/ Statistical Reviews
  • Session II– Developing Appropriate Interventions – Clinical and Social
  • Session III – Program and Funding for Success
  • Session IV– Infrastructure and Initial Processes
  • Session V – Synergy/ Fundamental Aspects of Infrastructure and Attitude Needed in Managing

 

Trainer: Alan Vietze is a Senior Fellow of CWLA, and a member of the CWLA Board of Directors and Chair of the Mental Health Advisory Board. He has extensive experience developing services for this population of children, youth, and their families at the local, state, and national level. He is often sought after as a consultant and a speaker because of his expertise. He is a passionate and compassionate professional that really cares about children and youth with emotional and behavioral health challenges and their families receiving the services and supports they need.

 

Training Dates and Time: Each of the five (5) training sessions will be held for two (2) hours, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Eastern Time on Thursdays – September 14, 21, 28 & October 5, 12, 2023

 

Training Registration Fee for CWLA Organizational Members $350; for Individual Members $375; for Non-Members $400

 

Training CEUs for CWLA Members $25; for Non-Members $35

Ten (10) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for the five training sessions, provided through NASW – Washington State Chapter. Participants must submit session evaluations and quizzes to receive CEUs.

Training Location: The training will be virtual using the Zoom platform. Zoom links will be sent out once participants have registered for the training.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Space is limited and available on a first come/first served basis. Requests for refunds must be received in writing no later than one week prior to the event. A $35 service charge will be assessed on all canceled registrations. Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited. CWLA reserves the right to cancel a training in the event of insufficient registration.
