Three Principles to Improve Outcomes for Children and Families

Three Principles to Improve Outcomes for Children and Families

A new paper from Harvard's Center on the Developing Child, authored by CSSP Senior Fellow Steve Cohen, outlines three core principles to inform a policy and advocacy agenda for children and families:

  1. Support responsive relationships for children and adults
  2. Strengthen core life skills
  3. Reduce sources of stress in the lives of children and families

The paper describes how these three principles can guide decision-makers as they choose among policy alternatives, design new approaches and shift existing practice. View the interactive graphic and paper here
