As we work to advance racial equity and social justice in social work, ADEIB (Antiracism, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) considers the fact that brave spaces must be created to allow for active engagement, meaningful processing, empathy, understanding, and human connection while holding the complexity of meeting people in their fully human, multiple identities. This event aims to to engage participants in critical conversations on ADEIB to shift the centering of whiteness and sharing the power, to respectfully challenge one another by understanding our learning edge and to be willing to wrestle with the reality that race, and racism is much more than an abstract concept—it’s a reality that we live daily.
