Trauma and Resilience: Train the Trainer class @ Online

A 4-day Trainer class to help communicate to a variety of audiences to help share instruction focused on:

  • why trauma matters (including ACE science)
  • how trauma impacts the brain (neuroscience) and body (situational behavior and lifetime health outcomes)
  • how to build individual resilience (including self-care)
  • how to build community resilience

Held via Zoom over 4 days (3 hours each day) on October 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th, 2022, from 12pm-3pm Eastern time. Scholarship information is available on the registration page. We have trained over 650 people since 2016 from all over the world to train this curriculum.

This course is designed to prepare participating Trainers to utilize the Trauma and Resilience Basics Course in training work within their workplace, community partners, and the community at large. Curriculum is open and adaptable (not scripted) with the intent to allow Trainers to modify content for their skill set and the needs of their audience. Class includes 3 follow-up learning collaborative sessions to support Trainers. 12 hours of CEUs are available.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will gain sufficient knowledge regarding childhood trauma to present workshop to a general workplace or community audience.
  2. Participants will gain sufficient knowledge regarding skills for building resilient self, individuals, systems, and communities to present workshop to a general workplace or community audience.
  3. Participants will gain presentation skills to speak in front of a group with competence and confidence.
  4. Participants will gain skills of self-evaluation and the initial ability to connect with an audience to improve workshop quality.
  5. Participants will gain skills to respond to audience questions and the ability to seek out new information to enhance their workshop content.
