In a recent Technical Assistance Visit to the Thibodaux Region of Louisiana, Dr. Gary Mallon, Executive Director of the National Resource Center for Permanency and Family Connections (NRCPFC) developed this PowerPoint presentation on the basics of Parent-Child Visiting in the foster care system. As a result of participating in this session, participants will be able to:
- Determine the core purposes of parenting time/visiting for various case situations.
- Assist parents in planning for visits/parenting time with their children.
- Provide concrete suggestions to parents on things to do to strengthen their relationships with their child(ren).
