This webpage explains the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) is releasing a five-part series of interactive virtual meetings from June through August 2020, intended to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the State and federal policy responses to the pandemic in the child welfare system. Specifically, the virtual meetings address: a national perspective on child welfare during the COVID-19 pandemic; supporting the child welfare workforce; understanding the needs of foster and kinship caregivers; child welfare placements in an uncertain time; and improving outcomes of older youth in child welfare. Links are provided to videotapes of the meetings and to additional resources on COVID-19 and child welfare services. National Conference of State Legislatures CLICK HERE
