Foster Parenting Training: An In-Depth Exploration of Advanced Topics: Trauma: Understanding Children’s Behavior in the Context of Maltreatment

This training will provide in-depth discussion of topics relevant for providing developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, care for children involved with the child welfare system.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Participants will understand attachment as a bio-behavioral developmental process.
  • Participants will be able to identify the process of the development of attachment.
  • Participants will be able to delineate specific stages of attachment development.
